Like many people in the midwest, we were victims of a huge storm system. Actually, I don’t want to use the word victim, because it wasn’t that bad, no lost power, no downed trees. But our basement did get puddled, and we soon discovered the reason why…the sump pump was dead.
Luckily, we know a good plumber, so off we call and off he comes. We have a special sump pump, he says, and runs out to buy a new one. After giving us the receipt for it, he settles down to work.
The final tab was $805. Thankfully, we have enough in the bank to cover it. It’s hard to save money, but it’s so good when you have cash in hand to help out. And that’s why, saving is a must.
