I didn’t get much sleep Wednesday night. At one am, pitiful wailing was coming from my two year old daughter’s room. She couldn’t be comforted, and she was holding her ears.
Oh, dear. Here comes another ear infection.
To make it worse, I realized that yesterday my son’s ears were more sensitive than ever. He has tons of earwax that congregates on his earlobes, and I try to clean it. He hates it, but I realized that this was worse than ever, and he probably also an ear infection.
So I called in the morning to request a sick visit with the pediatrician. She gave me scripts for amoxicilian. Lucky is for me, though, is that her office is next to that midwest phenomenon called Meijer. Meijer is basically like a Super Walmart.
One of their claims to fame is that basic antibiotics, like amoxicillian, is free, whether or not you have insurance. You can’t beat free.
This is also one of the Meijer that have a reduced produce rack. Most of them don’t. I loaded on the cheap produce: green grapes 39 cents per pound and strawberries 50 cents per pound.
The only problem at Meijer was the shoe repair shop. Actually, it’s not a part of Meijer; it just rents space in their. They still haven’t fixed my husband’s dress shoes. I bought them at a thrift shop for $2.95, and we paid $4 for a little stitching that is needed for them. Otherwise, they’re in like-new shape.
