My inlaws took my son overnight. He only had one ear infected; my daughter has two. She needs some extra TLC. So today was a very quiet day. I used some of the sausage (see Monday’s post) and made soup out of it, using two of soup mixes I got for 27 cents each (Kroger clearance). Then I used the same pot to hard boil some eggs which I got for a dollar a dozen (thank you, Kroger, again). I did some laundry and dishes and some usual housekeeping stuff.
When I took a break (kind of a misnomer with a two year old), I looked through some library books. This town has an awesome library, and it’s in an awesome library system. In fact, I am midway between two excellent libraries, and that’s great for the kids and me. I get to read books, that to be honest, that I never would spend money to buy.
Usually when I spend money on books, it’s for some reference item. I never spend “real money” on pleasure reading. Those I get from the library or second hand.
