Yesterday, I cooked up the sausage, but today I added it to starch and vegetables to stretch it. I added it to the Stove Top Stuffing that I bought for 50 cents a box on a rare trip to Walmart. I also added the sausage to some yolk-free egg noodles that I also bought for 50 cents, but this one was at Kroger clearance. I also took some sausage and added it to the eggplant and potatoes that I bought from the clearance rack of a discount produce store.
I think you can see a pattern. Generally, I buy what’s on sale or on clearance and I make meals out of it. I do plan my menus, but they’re based on sales and what’s in my freezer or pantry.
